Hopinator Barbecue Sauce Hot is a genuine collaboration between Sydney Brewery and Cobra Chilli, built around Sydney Brewery's Potts Point Porter. It's for the crowd who reckon a good BBQ sauce and a good beer should never be separated — and who don't mind a real hit of Trinidad Congo Black chilli along the way.

The flavour

Fresh tomato and molasses-sweet up front, with the Potts Point Porter bringing a distinct malty, roasted, bitter-beer undertone you don't get from a standard BBQ sauce. Fresh garlic and onion round out the savoury middle, Worcestershire and paprika deepen the barbecue backbone, and the Congo Black (Chocolate Habanero) chilli brings genuine hot-category heat with its own fruity habanero edge on the finish.

How to use it

• Glaze brisket or pork ribs in the last stretch on the smoker
• Baste burgers and snags straight off the barbie
