Peppercorns with a genuine Kiwi story
This is the real deal — whole black peppercorns smoked by Craig Leathley of Smok'n Comrades down in Taranaki, over hand-selected, sustainably sourced Pohutukawa in a mighty 500-gallon smoker. Pohutukawa is New Zealand's Christmas tree, and the aroma it lends is unique to those islands. Load the grinder and every twist smells like a Kiwi summer.
The flavour
Crack one over your palm and you get sweet, resinous smoke up front — that distinctive Pohutukawa perfume. Then the pepper does its thing: bright, floral heat with a clean, biting finish that wakes food right up. Smoke and pepper in perfect, aromatic balance.
How to cook with it
- Grind generously over a steak just before it hits the pan for smoky, peppery crust.
- Twist over fried or scrambled eggs to turn breakfast into an event.
- Finish roast vegetables or potatoes with a fresh grind at the table.
- Use anywhere you'd normally reach for the pepper mill — but better.

DUE TO ACCIDENTAL ORDER OR CHANGE OF MINDWe offer refunds and/or exchanges, providing a request for return is received within 30 days of your order being delivered. Your item must be in its original packaging and in the same condition that you received it.
The return shipping costs will be the responsibility of you, the customer. For domestic orders (AUS & USA) a prepaid shipping label can be provided, with the associated costs being deducted from the refunded amount. International (Asia) returns will need to be arranged by the customer, and will require a tracking number.
Any refund or exchange will only be issued once the original item has been shipped back to us.
DUE TO DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEM
In the unlikely event you receive a defective or damaged item, we offer you the choice of a full refund or a replacement. We will cover all return shipping costs.
