The flavour

Front is clean salt with dehydrated garlic and onion. The middle turns rounded and buttery, courtesy of the butter flavour blend doing quiet work. It finishes savoury and clean — no sweetness, next to no heat — so it seasons without shouting over whatever's underneath.

How to cook with it

• Season a ribeye or scotch fillet heavy 20–30 minutes before it hits a screaming-hot pan or grill and let the crust do the work.
• Toss chat potatoes or a tray of mixed veg in oil and Blanco before roasting for a savoury, buttery crust with zero extra effort.
