🏴‍☠️ Darryl's Secret: Stowaway Smash Burgers

One rub, one sauce, four burgers, fifteen minutes.

You'll need: 500g beef mince (20% fat), rolled into 4 balls; 2 tsp of the month's rub; 4 slices cheese and 4 soft buns; 3 tbsp of the month's sauce or finisher.

Do this:

  1. Get a flat plate or cast-iron pan screaming hot, around 230°C.
  2. Smash each ball flat with a heavy spatula, season the top with rub straight away, and cook 2 minutes until a dark crust forms.
  3. Flip, lay on the cheese, cook 1–2 minutes more until the patties hit 71°C.
  4. Toast the buns on the plate, sauce them, stack and serve.

Returns Policy

We don't see many returns — but if something isn't right, get in touch and we'll work through it together. Our full returns process applies to orders within Australia, returned within 30 days of purchase in their original, unopened condition, with proof of purchase.

We're not able to offer refunds for change of mind, so please choose carefully before checking out. Clearance and run-out items are sold as final sale, and gift cards can't be returned or refunded under any circumstances. If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or isn't what you ordered, contact us with a few photos and we'll arrange the best fix.

We ship across Australia and to New Zealand. Shipping within Australia is a flat rate of $10 AUD, with the option to upgrade to Express at checkout.
