Reaper Magic Sauce is the same Asian-style, soy-and-sesame magic sauce Cobra Chilli built their name on — except this time the heat comes from fresh Carolina Reaper instead of habanero. It's for cooks who want that savoury, everyday splash sauce but reckon the medium version doesn't quite bite hard enough.
The flavour
It starts with a salty, umami soy hit and a nutty trace of sesame oil. Fresh garlic, ginger and onion round out the middle with proper savoury depth. Then the Carolina Reaper arrives — a sharp, serious heat spike that builds fast, holds for about fifteen seconds, and fades out to a lingering honey sweetness.
How to use it
- Splash it over dumplings or pot stickers
- Toss it through fried rice or noodles at the end of cooking
- Brush it onto beef or pork skewers before they hit the grill
