HOOK
They call it the MVR — the Most Valuable Rub — and once you've tasted what it does to a tray of wings you'll stop arguing. This is the multi-award-winning chook rub that made the Four Saucemen crew household heroes at the smoker.
The flavour
Sweet and smokey up front, a little kick of heat through the middle, and lots of layers on the finish — it keeps unfolding the longer it cooks. Not a one-note shake-and-serve; this one's got range, from mellow sweetness to a gentle warm glow that never overpowers the bird.
How to cook with it
- Butterfly a whole chicken, rub it right into the skin and roast or smoke until the crackle sings.
- Toss wings in a good handful before they hit a hot grill for sticky, layered flavour.
- Season breast fillets and pan-sear — the sugars catch and give you a golden crust.
- Rub thighs generously and slow-cook until they fall off the bone.

A warm golden-brown blend, medium grind — coarse enough to cling to skin and wings, fine enough to coat an even layer over a whole butterflied bird.

DUE TO ACCIDENTAL ORDER OR CHANGE OF MINDWe offer refunds and/or exchanges, providing a request for return is received within 30 days of your order being delivered. Your item must be in its original packaging and in the same condition that you received it.
The return shipping costs will be the responsibility of you, the customer. For domestic orders (AUS & USA) a prepaid shipping label can be provided, with the associated costs being deducted from the refunded amount. International (Asia) returns will need to be arranged by the customer, and will require a tracking number.
Any refund or exchange will only be issued once the original item has been shipped back to us.
DUE TO DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEM
In the unlikely event you receive a defective or damaged item, we offer you the choice of a full refund or a replacement. We will cover all return shipping costs.
Please report any issue within 5 days of receiving your item. We kindly ask that you provide clear evidence of the fault or damage, so we can expedite your request efficiently.
