Always check the label

We sort every product from the information the maker gives us: the ingredients, the dietary claims and the allergen lines on the pack. Makers change recipes and factories from time to time, so if you’re cooking for an allergy or an intolerance, always read the label on the pack you receive before you cook.

Nut free and dairy free mean the maker lists none of those ingredients and no “may contain” warning for them. If you spot anything that doesn’t add up, give us a shout and we’ll check it with the maker.

Do you sell gluten free BBQ rubs and sauces?

Yes. Our Gluten Free range covers rubs and sauces from Aussie makers and US imports, each checked against its own label. There are also separate Gluten Free Sauces and Gluten Free Rubs pages if you only need one or the other.

What does no added MSG mean?

It means the maker hasn't added monosodium glutamate (621) to the product. Over 100 of our rubs, sauces, honeys and jerky carry it, including Meat Church, Hardcore Carnivore, Coast n Smoke, Heavenly Hell and Croix Valley. Some ingredients such as tomato, mushroom or yeast extract contain natural glutamates.

Are your nut free and dairy free products safe for allergies?

We only list a product as nut free or dairy free when the maker lists none of those ingredients and the label carries no “may contain” or shared-facility warning. Makers can change recipes or factories, so if you're cooking for an allergy, always read the label on the pack you receive.

Which rubs are low FODMAP?

Our Low FODMAP range is the Black Market Spice Merchants line, made without onion and garlic: It's All Greek to Me, Magic Mex, Majestic Spice Rub and Alabama Jama.

Do you have keto friendly or sugar free seasoning?

Yes. Keto Friendly covers maker-stated keto products with no sugar on the ingredients list, such as Meat Mitch Naked Seas'ning and Hardcore Carnivore Texas Jalapeño Salt. No Added Sugar adds Coast n Smoke rubs and El Chori chimichurri.

Is there a rub without pepper?

Yes. MCADVENTURES The Adventurer BBQ Rub is made with no pepper. It's a sweet, smoky rub with citrus and ginger that suits chicken, seafood, beef and veg.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is a flat $10 anywhere in Australia, however many rubs and sauces you add. New Zealand shipping is calculated at checkout.
