Bancoora is Coast n Smoke's take on the cult “everything but the bagel” seasoning — named for the beach just up the coast. It's the finishing sprinkle that turns smashed avo, a fried egg or a plain chook into something worth photographing. Nutty, garlicky and completely heat-free, it earns a permanent spot next to the toaster.

The flavour

Toasty black and white sesame lead with a rich, nutty depth, backed by poppy and nigella seed for that unmistakable bagel-shop aroma. Flaky sea salt and garlic round it out, with cracked pepper for a gentle savoury bite. Moreish, aromatic and endlessly sprinkleable.

How to cook with it

• Shower it over smashed avo on toast with a squeeze of lemon.
• Sprinkle on fried, poached or soft-boiled eggs at the table.
• Press onto chicken skin before roasting for a nutty, seeded crust.
