A festive-leaning BBQ sauce built for glazed meats
Cran-B-Cue trades the usual tomato-heavy BBQ base for real cranberry, giving it a tart-sweet edge that suits glazed ham and turkey as much as it suits a backyard grill. It comes from the same Hudson, Wisconsin family kitchen that's picked up nine World Championship BBQ titles.
The flavour
Front: a tart cranberry snap. Middle: BBQ sweetness and gentle spice rounding it out. Finish: a lingering tang rather than cloying sweetness.
How to cook with it
- Brush onto glazed ham in the last 15–20 minutes of oven time so it sets glossy, not sticky-burnt
- Warm gently before brushing for an even coat
- Use as a glaze on turkey during the final roasting stretch
- Spoon over pork loin as it rests for extra shine
- Left-field: serve straight from a ramekin alongside a cheese board — the tartness cuts through soft cheese well
