HOOK
This is the rub that took the trophies home, mate. Sweet, smokey and quietly award-hungry, The Pork Rub is the one the Four Saucemen crew built their name on — the jar you reach for when the ribs deserve better than a shrug and a shake of salt.
The flavour
It opens sweet and mellow, rolls into a proper wood-smoke depth from a special fresh smoked paprika, and finishes with the faintest whisper of heat — enough to keep it interesting, never enough to scare the family off. Sweet and smokey through and through, with layers that build the longer it cooks.
How to cook with it
- Coat a rack of pork ribs the night before, wrap and let it get acquainted in the fridge, then low-and-slow until the bark sets.
- Rub a pork shoulder generously and pull it after a long, lazy cook for smokey pulled pork.
- Season chops and sear hot — the sugars catch and caramelise into a sticky crust.
- Slather pork belly and roast until the fat renders and the top turns lacquer-glossy.
In the jar
A rusty red-brown blend with a medium grind — enough coarse texture to grip the meat and build bark, fine enough to coat evenly. That smoked paprika colour is the tell.

DUE TO ACCIDENTAL ORDER OR CHANGE OF MINDWe offer refunds and/or exchanges, providing a request for return is received within 30 days of your order being delivered. Your item must be in its original packaging and in the same condition that you received it.
The return shipping costs will be the responsibility of you, the customer. For domestic orders (AUS & USA) a prepaid shipping label can be provided, with the associated costs being deducted from the refunded amount. International (Asia) returns will need to be arranged by the customer, and will require a tracking number.
Any refund or exchange will only be issued once the original item has been shipped back to us.
DUE TO DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEM
In the unlikely event you receive a defective or damaged item, we offer you the choice of a full refund or a replacement. We will cover all return shipping costs.
Please report any issue within 5 days of receiving your item. We kindly ask that you provide clear evidence of the fault or damage, so we can expedite your request efficiently.
