The flavour

Cracked black pepper leads, then a rich, roasted coffee note and a wave of savoury umami fill the middle, with just enough sugar to round the edges. It finishes long and meaty rather than sweet — the coffee reads as depth and darkness, never as a cup of coffee.

How to cook with it
