Proud Phoenix & Co began with a mother's cooking. A chef in the Vietnam Navy, she created her chilli crisp oils before the family escaped by boat to Australia in the late 1970s — where her food became a symbol of comfort, heritage and home. In 2002 the family opened their first restaurant, Proud Peacock, in Glen Waverley, blending Vietnamese tradition with their new Australian community.
Today, founder June (Dieu) Tran carries that legacy forward. Like the phoenix, this is a story of rising from struggle into strength — each jar crafted with purpose, each flavour telling a story of survival, strength and love.
